KROTCH MAG. Issue 16 Out Now!

KROTCH Zine Issue 16 was released on Aug. 3rd, 2024 with 16-pages of anonymous, discount, community-based works.

The August issue includes 16 pages of anonymous emission into, and about, the cultural prospects, prosthetics, and poetics of Praga and the microcosm of the art world that it (mis)represents.

About KROTCH :::::

KROTCH Magazine is our monthly attempt to share the OBJECT:PARADISE Manifesto in written form. In each issue, readers can find texts that expose the healthy and unhealthy indecencies within Prague and the microcosm of the art world that it represents.

Our texts are written by members of the community, though you can’t find authors’ names in the magazine. We do this because we are uncomfortable with the contemporary notion that author, identity, and intention are the only forces that make up the effect of a text. When in reality, it is the audience, or the reader, who in the end makes up the meaning of the work.

When physically engaging with our magazine, we want to encourage the reader to dive deep into each text, folding the pages how they wish, and creating their own realities from the language in their hands. Similarly, we want to encourage the writers of our magazine to write from their real voices that are unfiltered from the restraints of the super-ego.

Each issue comes with 16 pages of texts that span genres from collage, criticism, reviews, reports, rants, and other creative outputs. Each issue is done entirely by hand, using minimal digital tools, to give our readers something that’s been tangible at each stage of production.

Each issue is only 50kč and is available exclusively in print. Current distribution points are at the Globe Bookstore in Nové Mesto, and Žižkovšiška in Žižkov.
